Why didn’t Inari just take Inugami’s life right when he was frozen and vulnerable? I mean, I get that they are allies but I thought that was not a thing anymore after she tried to get Kabane’s lifestone.

なんで飯生は、隠神が凍らされて弱ってる時に殺してしまわなかったんだろうか？ だって、同盟を組んでるのは分かるけど、飯生が夏羽の命結石を奪おうとした時からもう同盟はないも同然なのかと思ってたから。

I hope he killed every last one of those women on his way out

結が雪の里から出るときにあの女たちを一人残らず殺しててほしい。

野火丸の勤労倫理は尊敬するな、飯生のことを嫌ってはいるけど、彼女の前ではしっかり任務をこなすから。

Great episode! We have one more episode left, definitely going to read the manga after the season is over. That village is ****ed, I mean I get that they’re doing it for the survival of their species but, that’s still very ****ed and there are even those with selfish and malicious intent, so yeah they’re dead indeed. Poor Yui, I can kind of understand why he’s overprotective of Akira, it’s too much though, there are still other people out there he can trust, I hope he realizes that. Inari’s a bitch and all, but she’s hot lmao. Nobimaru’s kitsune form looks cool, looking forward to the last episode.

素晴らしいエピソードだった！あと1話だから、放送が終わったら絶対漫画読もうと思う。 あの村は腐ってる。種族の存続のためにやってるのは分かるんだけど、それでもすごく気持ち悪いし、女たちの中には自己中心的で悪意のある人たちもいるわけで、確かにもう死んでるも同然だよ。 結はかわいそうだし、なぜ彼が昌に対して過保護になってしまうか理解できる。ただ、1人で抱え込むのは大変すぎるし、他にも信用できる人はいるんだってことに気づいて欲しい。 飯生は最悪な女だけど、色っぽいよね（笑）野火丸の狐の形態はイケてるね、最終話が楽しみだ。

Unless it’s been explained and I haven’t noticed, there’s one big oversight in Akira and Yui’s village backstory. If their Dad was basically a sex slave for the women in the village then wouldn’t the woman that Yui had to copulate with basically be his sister’s etc and the whole population of the village be the result of inbreeding for generations?

もう説明されてて自分が気づいてないだけならあれだけど、昌と結の村についての話には一つ大きな見落としがある。 もし彼らの父親が村の女性たちの性奴隷だったなら、結が行為をしている女性たちはみんな彼の姉妹とかなわけで、村の人口すべてが近親相姦で成り立ってるってことだよね？

I think we all expected as much, but Yui was made this way by his circumstances. Chief at 14, raped for children, constantly putting up with the cycle of hatred and jealousy of the yuki-onno, torn from Akira, and the Nullstone probably isn’t doing him any favors Nobimaru’s still really cool. For some reason I really like his line about going all out “since the boss is around and all” Akira’s ploy of lying to keep Kabane safe and throw of Yui’s suspicions worked out surprisingly well. If Kabane wasn’t as (somewhat) dense as he was though, I think he would’ve seen through it

みんな予想できてたと思うけど、結がこうなったのは周りの環境のせいだったんだね。 14歳で長になり、子供なのにレイプされ、常に雪女たちの憎悪や嫉妬に晒され、昌とも引き離され、、 零結石もあまり彼のためになっているとは思えない。 野火丸は相変わらずイケてたね。なんでか分からないけど、彼の「ボスの前では」全力で臨むっていうセリフが好きだ。 昌の夏羽を守るため、結の疑念を晴らすために嘘をつく策略は意外と上手くいったね。もし夏羽がこれまでのように鈍いままじゃなければ見透かすことができたと思うけど。

I adore Nobimaru. So confident and cunning…. and a jerk at times. “”I was going for Akira-kun. So much for the plan to take him hostage.”” “”What do you want? Who are you to Akira?”” “”A stranger.”” I can’t wait to see Kabane join in on the action. I’m sure Nobimaru will make some snarky verbal jabs at him and use him as some kind of tool to achieve his goal.

野火丸が気に入ってる。自信たっぷりで狡猾で、、、たまに嫌な奴で。 「昌くんを狙ってたのに。人質にする作戦は失敗か」 「何が欲しい？お前は昌にとって何だ？」「他人」 夏羽が戦いに参入するのが待ち遠しい。野火丸が夏羽に卑劣な一撃を食らわせて、自分のゴールを達成するために道具として利用するのが目に見えるね。

That scene at the top of the mountain was absolutely gorgeous. Like a peak of solace in the middle of all the… questionable-ness of the village.

あの山の頂上のシーンはすこく綺麗だった。村の是非を問う真ん中にひそむ慰安の山頂みたいで。

This show is so casually dark. So Yui had to become chief before he was 14 (I guess he matured faster because of his upbringing but still), and being chief means he was basically forced to copulate with all the yuki-onna. Imagine if the yuki-onna learned that Akira was able to serve as well. Worst-case scenario Akira gets corrupted in all the nonsense, and the village gets split into 2 factions under Yui & Akira respectively. Then they go extinct because of a bloody conflict.

このアニメってさりげなくダークだよね。結が14になる前に長にならなければならなかったわけ（生い立ちのせいで成熟するのが早かったんだとは思う）で、長になるとはすべての雪女たちの相手を強制させられることを意味している。 雪女たちが昌も務めを果たせるようになったと知ったらどうだろう。最悪のケース、昌はその環境からおかしくなって、村は結と昌の2つの派閥に分断されるだろう。 そして最後には血なまぐさい争いから絶滅する。

Full power Nobimaru and Inari with Red Kabane vs Yui with a nullstone. They should be able to take him out right? But unless Inari has a fire atribute like Kon then she would be instantly frozen alive… Welp at least Nobimaru’s plan was use Akira as an hostage so there’s that. The snow village was as messed up as we expected. Wait how does Yui know about Kitsune? Wasn’t he on that village for the most part of his life?

フルパワーの野火丸と飯生、赤い夏羽対する零結石をもった結。 夏羽たちは昌のこと出してあげられるよね？だけど、飯生が紺みたいな火の特性がないとしたら一瞬で生きたまま凍らされるよね。 最悪、野火丸の計画は昌を人質として使うことだったからそれはそれでいいのかもしれないけど。 あの雪の里は想像通り腐りきってたね。 待てよ、結はどうやって狐のことを知ったんだろう？人生のほとんどを雪の里で過ごしてたんだよね？

I continue to simp for Inari. Love her character design and voice
