Firstly Kabane, now Homuramaru, what’s with this kids being naked out there as if it was nothing? lol ****, I didn’t expected that. No surprise that the kid got traumatized, he literally witnessed his mother being raped by a giant monster. It’d have been a lot better if he actually found her dead. Also, between this and Akira’s backstory (which I know something vague) I don’t know which one is the most disturbing, damn.

Damn that was a great ass episode, I thought the episode title was going to be about Kon finally finding a home in the Inugami gang but boy am I dead wrong. I knew the uncle was kind of shady a few minutes in but he’s way ****ing worse, I doubt Shiki’s brother died “accidentally” and then he ****ing took advantage of Kumi’s love for Shiki and experimented on her, Jesus this guy is ****ed up. I am assuming that pink haired girl was the result of those experiments. Love how Nobimaru’s provoking has no effect on Kabane and when Shiki said he’ll kill his uncle, Kabane is like “Sure” lmao. Why’d they leave poor Akira alone though , ngl he looked really cute with the hair bun. Looking forward to the next episode, I wonder if Shiki will really kill his uncle.

うわあ、素晴らしいエピソードだった。タイトルを見たときは紺がようやく隠神の仲間たちに加わって自分の家と呼べる場所を見つけるのかと思ったけど、全然違ったね。 あのおじさんが登場してから数分でなんか怪しいのは分かってたけど、想像以上に最悪な奴だったね。織の父親が本当に「事故」で死んだのか疑問だね。あのあと、くみの織への愛を利用して彼女を実験台にしたわけだからね。まじでこいつイカれてるよ。あのピンクの髪の女の子が実験の結果生まれた子なのかな。 野火丸の挑発が夏羽に何の影響もないのがすごく面白かった。織が自分のおじさんを殺すって言ったときも、「別にいいよ」って感じだったし（笑） なんで昌を一人にするのかな、かわいそうに。あのお団子の髪型すごく可愛かったけど。次回もすごく楽しみだ。織が本当におじさんを殺すのか気になる。

The fact that Shiki heard faint voices of what I assume is his mother calling his name makes me think she’s alive and locked up somewhere

織が何かの声を聞いたような場面があったから、あれは織の母親が織を呼んでいて、まだ母親は生きててどこかに監禁されてるんだと思う。

Dang, definitely plunged into the dark side in this episode. Poor Shiki, can’t catch a break. I love how Kabane is so frank about things. No, he’s not gonna stop you and no, he’s not bothered by you killing someone. And I might be the oddball out but I think Nobimaru is my favorite character out of the bunch. He’s cunning and a bit conniving. I love it. And that smile at the end while he’s watching Shiki hang his uncle up in his webs…. pure evil.

わお、今回のエピソードはダークな部分が前面に出てたね。織はついてないね、かわいそうに。 夏羽が何事においてもすごく正直なのがすごく好き。何も止めないし、誰かを殺すことも構わない。 僕が変わりものなのかもしれないけど、一味の中で野火丸が一番好きなキャラだな。ずる賢くて、少し狡猾で。最高。 最後に織がおじさんを蜘蛛の巣で括り付けるのを見て笑ってたのも、、、完全なる悪魔だよね。

紺を丸々1話みかけてないよ、正直言ってこれ以上もう耐えられない。

This man not only more than likely murdered his own brother, he was forcing his sister-in-law to be raped repeatedly, attacked his nephew with a rock, kept him separated from his mother and lied about her wellbeing, and then forced her into having a child so he could exploit them to make money. What a disgusting pile of sludge, (sorry actual sludge). This backstory was far darker than I anticipated. The shows this season really aren’t pulling any punches.

この男は自分の兄を殺しただけでなく、義理の姉を強制的に繰り返しレイプさせたうえ、甥を岩で殴りつけ、母親から引き離して彼女の状態について嘘をついて、お金のために彼女に無理やり子供を産ませた。なんて気持ちの悪い汚物なんだ（本当の汚物にすら失礼だね）。この生い立ちは予想してたものよりはるかにダークだった。 今期のアニメは全部手加減なしだね。

I hope they kill the uncle, but I know they won’t. Maybe foxboy will do it at least after the MCs go home, but he probably won’t.

みんながあのおじさんを殺してほしいけど、殺さないって分かってる。 主人公が家に帰ってから、あの狐の男の子ならやりかねないけど、たぶんやらないだろうな。

I wonder if Nobimaru knew that Shiki would find out about his past when he suggested watching fireflies

野火丸が蛍を見ようって言ったとき、織が過去のことを明らかにすることを知ってたのかな。

Shiki: So you wanna be an accomplice in murdering my uncle? Kabane: When do we start, I got the shovel and everything ready, fam. Nobimaru: My, what a pair of good friends. I should hang out with them, while also messing with them. Murder is so cool! … Just Kemono Things.

織：俺のおじさんを一緒に殺してくれる？
夏羽：いつやる？シャベルとか必要なものは全部準備できてるよ。
野火丸：まあ、なんて良い友達なんだろう。一緒につるみたいな、邪魔もしたいけど。殺人って最高！ 怪物たちの日常。

Wow the manga readers where right about this story transitioning into a very mature tone. I knew it would get dark, but I didn’t expect this level of depth from this show. I’m pleasantly surprised and now I’m even more intrigued for the rest of the story! Shiki’s backstory is legit one of the most disgusting flashbacks I have witnessed in anime.

このアニメが成人向けの内容に変化していくって漫画読者たちが言ってたことは本当だったね。 ダークになるのは知ってたけど、このアニメがこんな深いレベルまでいくとは思ってなかった。 いい意味で驚いたし、残りのストーリーもますます気になってきた。 織の生い立ちは今までみたアニメのフラッシュバックの中でも断トツで気持ち悪いね。

Kabane is a great MC. I am glad the show doesn’t make every little thing overly emotional like other battle shounens and honestly because of that when scenes need to be emotional they actually work better. This episode feels more like episode 1 with the darker atmosphere.

夏羽は最高の主人公だね。他の戦闘系の少年漫画原作のアニメみたいに大げさに感動的にしすぎないのが好きだし、そのおかげで本当に感動的なシーンがより強調される気がする。 今回のエピソードは1話の暗いバージョンみたいな感じだった。
