この記事では、2021年1月7日から放送開始のアニメ『ゆるキャン△』2期（Season2）の1話から最終話までの海外の反応を全てまとめてご紹介します。

『ゆるキャン△』は山梨県を舞台に女子高生の志摩リンを始めとする仲間たちが、キャンプの魅力とその日常を描いた作品です。

人気はキャンプに興味のなかった層まで広がり、テレビドラマ化もされるなど、キャンプブームの火付け役とも言われています。

Eri Sasaki’s voice is so relaxing and her music gives me goosebumps, After that was followed by Asaka who made me feel that joy would decorate the first part of the anime I watched. I really can’t wait, it will be an interesting and fun anime.🔥

This is just the best. As a Landscape Photographer I somehow feel like they get it! Hoped though, the series would go to more interesting places somewhen, like hiking and camping in the mountains. 😀

本当に最高。風景カメラマンとしても彼女たちの気持ちがわかる。 でもこのシリーズではハイキングや山キャンプのような、もっと面白い場所に行って欲しいと思った。

Solo camp is about enjoying your loneliness too. Wow, coming from Rin, this line really sounds different. This series is always full of surprises while making me so comfortable too.

ソロキャンプは孤独を楽しむものでもある。このセリフをリンが言うと全く別物に聞こえる。このシリーズはいつも驚きに満ちているし、心地よい。

As someone who grew up with narcissistic helicopter parents, it was so heartwarming to see how healthy Rin’s relationship with her parents is. Even before her first camping trip, they’re thoughtful, supportive and engage with her interests, but also give her enough space to do it her own way and learn from her experiences. I also loved how the anime revealed the emotional significance of the cup ramen. For Rin, it’s not just comfort food, it’s a gesture of kindness and thoughtfulness that she received from her mother supporting her new hobby. That recontextualizes the first episode from the first season where Rin gives cup ramen to Nadeshiko, symbolically passing the torch.

過保護な親に育てられた自分は、リンと両親がすごく健全な関係であることを見て心が温まりました。 最初のキャンプに行く前から、思いやりを持って彼女の関心を支えてくれるだけではなく、リンが自分のやり方で成長するために十分な時間を与えていました。 感情的な意味をカップ麺が明らかにしてくれるところも大好きです。 リンにとってはただの食べ慣れた食べ物ではなく、新しい挑戦にサポートをしてくれる母親から受け取った優しさや思いやりを表していました。１期の第１話でリンがなでしこにカップ麺をあげたことの新たな解釈です。

The talking pinecone always get me. But then I feel so bad for it when they use it as campfire :(. It was nice to see Rin’s first camp experience. She is the expert and the solo-master so it was nice to see her be a goof/noob camper. Also that OP was a banger. And the animation was great. Some Comfy Thursdays for a while. Can’t wait for each one!

話す松ぼっくりにいつもやられます。 でもキャンプファイアに使われる時かわいそうに感じてしまいます。 リンの最初のキャンプを見られて嬉しいです。 ソロキャンプの達人である彼女が初心者だったのを見ることが出来て良かったです。 そしてオープニングも最高でした。 久しぶりの心地の良い木曜日が待ち遠しいです。

Noob Rin with level 1 firemaking and cooking is adorable. Instant noodles always taste better when you’re struggling.

レベル１の火起こしと料理をしている初心者のリンが可愛い。 カップ麺はいつも苦戦している時により美味しい。

They’re finally back! And what an adorable way to start off the season by showing us a flashback of the day Rin went on her first solo camping trip. It’s actually nice to see the ever capable Rin messing up like bending the pegs for her tent, trying to start a fire without a starter, and cooking rice in extremely high heat. It kinda makes me proud to see how much she’s learned in the present when it comes to camping. And I just love how they ended that bit with Rin staring at Mt. Fuji while at the same time a smol Nadeshiko is doing the same thing as well. <3

彼女たちがやっと戻ってきた！リンが初めてソロキャンプに行った日の場面を見せてくれるなんてすごく魅力的な始まりです。 なんでも出来るリンがテントのペグを曲げてしまったり、着火剤なしで火起こしをしたり、米を強火で炊いたりしてたところを見られて良かったです。 今までにリンがキャンプでたくさんのことを学んできたことがわかりなんだか誇らしく思います。 そしてリンが富士山を眺めているときになでしこも同じことをしていたのが好きです。

Nice to see all of the girls working hard at their part time jobs to earn money for their camping gear. Looks like poor Aki is the only one who’s not getting any breaks. Well at least she gets some souvenirs from the gang so it’s still a win!

彼女たちがキャンプ用品を買うために一生懸命バイトをしている姿が見られて良かった。 千明だけが休みなしで働いていて可哀想だったけどみんなにお土産を貰えるからまあありだね！

That final scene between Nadeshiko and Rin was just cute. And Nadeshiko handing Rin some instant curry noodles was a nice call back to the first half of the episode. And good to see Aoi has never changed and is still telling Nadeshiko her tall tales in the after credits scene. Welp that’s Yuru Camp alright! It’s just as comfy and healing as I remember it. <3

最後のなでしことリンのシーンがただただ可愛かった。なでしこがリンにカレーヌードルを手渡しているところが1話を思い出させた。 クレジット後のシーンであおいが相変わらずなでしこに自慢話をしていたのが良かった。 これがゆるキャンだったと思い出して癒されました。

Rin’s initial struggles were precious to watch, especially when compared to her current self. I now very much think that the size of her bun correlates to her camping skill-level.

現在のリンと比べて最初の奮闘ぶりを見るのは特に貴重でした。お団子頭の大きさがリンのキャンプスキルのレベルに関係があるのではないかと思っています。

Rin isn’t nearly as outwardly expressive while eating the currymen as Nadeshiko, but the tiny movements of her facial expressions shows otherwise. Somehow, they’ve managed to capture the quiet reverence of Rin eating a hot meal in the winter on her first camping trip.

カレーヌードルを食べている時のリンは、なでしこのように感情を表現しないけど小さな変化が表情のからわかります。このシーンは初めての冬キャンプで暖かい食べ物を食べることへ畏敬の念を静かに映し出していました。

Before running over to Rin, Nadeshiko looks left and right before crossing the road. I love it, there was absolutely no need to bother, and no one would’ve ever noticed its absence, but the director/animator/whoever went the extra mile to animate those few frames. You can tell that there’s a lot of pride and passion going into this anime.

なでしこが道路を渡ってリンに駆け寄る前、左右を確認します。このシーンが好きです。 誰も気づかないようなこのシーンを映像化する監督やアニメーターのプライドや情熱を感じます。

Honestly, any worries I had about the quality of this season vs the first one have already been put to bed. The structure, pacing, and character work are just as strong as ever. The first act with bby Shimarin is charming in and of itself, but it also works not only as a callback to the first season premiere, but as a reminder/reinforcement of the show’s central relationship, Rin and Nadeshiko.

2期のクオリティに対する不安は正直なくなりました。構成、キャラクターなど相変わらず良いです。しまりんのこのエピソードだけでも魅力的ですが、１期の1話を思い出させ、さらになでしことの関係性をより表していました。

The moment Pinecone-kun made his signature “”koniichiwa””, I just burst out in a chuckle. Somehow, I didn’t expect that.

松ぼっくりがこんにちはと言った瞬間笑ってしまった。予想外だった。

Phew. For a moment there I thought we were going to go the whole first episode without hearing Nadeshiko shout Rin-Chan””

ほっとした。一瞬、なでしこの「リンちゃん」という声を聞けずに終わってしまうかと思った。

This show came back just in time to combat my seasonal depression. Hopefully it’ll fill the void that Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle left as coziest anime of the season.

このアニメは季節性の鬱と戦うのにちょうどいい時に戻ってきました。「魔王城でおやすみ」が終わって空いた穴を埋めてくれると期待しています。

Even though this anime has been a lot more about respecting boundaries, it’s very clear that the intention to make Rin so much more expressive here compared to Season 1 is very intentional, and speaks a lot of what you can do with subtle character development. Love it.

Rin internalizing her excitement is just too cute! Also cements the fact she may be in introvert, but she’s not an anti-social loner! That is one of the prettiest tea house I’ve ever seen! And, as expected, it’s a real place!. Pinecone-chan still makes me snort every single time! Not even Rin-chan can resist fresh pizza! No Shinto shrine on a popular mountain will be this empty on New Year’s Day! The lines of people visiting for Hatsumode could probably stretch all the way to the ropeway! My God! That whole first sunrise scene was just gorgeous! My own hatsuhinode was close to my wife’s parents house in Chiba. Toba-sensei channeling her inner racer with a K-class car! I love the little exchanges that happened between Aoi and her little sister! It’s so subtlety wholesome! Chibi Inuko is a great addition to the cast!

I actually can’t remember if I’ve seen an animated show capture how sunlight looks against mountains and on water as well as Yuru Camp does. I go camping quite a bit, with a lot of experience in mountain areas especially, and it’s honestly hard to put into words how awesome waking up and seeing a sunrise over the mountains is. Yuru Camp manages to capture the feeling so well through visuals and music, it’s just so damn gorgeous. Also I love that Chiaki got the sunrise time wrong. Seeing the drift sequence was chuckleworthy, but Chiaki’s oops”” moment as the payoff made me outright laugh.””

ゆるキャンほど山の向こうから昇る太陽や水に映る光を表現したアニメはないと思います。私は特に山のキャンプによく行きます。朝起きて日が山の向こうから昇って来るのを見ることの素晴らしさを言葉で現すのは正直難しいです。
ゆるキャンはその感覚を映像と音で良く表していて素晴らしい。 あと千明が日の出の時間を間違えてところが好きです。ドリフトのシーンにクスッときて、千明の「間違えちゃった」に大笑いしました。

I am now adding “”Experience New Year’s First Sunrise at Fukude Beach”” in my list of things to do in Japan in the future once everything is no longer ****ty.

今期ではあかりがたくさん見られて嬉しいです。あおいより千明をからかうのが好きみたいですね。 豚足カレーのとこは爆笑した。誰もピザの魅力には勝てない。彼女には問題ないと思うけど、こんなに長く過ごすつもりはなかったと思うから三日間どうやって時間を潰すんだろう。いずれにしても次の話で彼女のおじいちゃんに再会することを願っています。

One thing that I find interesting about Yuru Camp is it’s use of technology. Maybe I’m just tipping the hand about how much I like watching old slice-of-life series, but this is the only one I’ve seen that integrates stuff like group chats and sharing pictures into the core of its narrative. It’s something that’s become more relevant in quarantine times is this ability for technology to bridge physical gaps between friends and family, like the way Nadeshiko was able to experience two different sunrises with two separate groups of friends despite not being able to see it herself because she was busy working. Rin’s out solo-camping, but she’s keeping in contact with friends and family, uploading pictures, sending texts, etc., so she’s not just a lone wolf disconnected from society. I think it’s a more modern take on how people experience the world nowadays, like it’s a thing to be shared with others rather than something you just keep to yourself.

ゆるキャンで面白いと思ったのはテクノロジーを使っているところです。昔の日常系アニメばかりを見ているのがバレてしまうかもしれませんが、グループチャットや写真共有が物語の中心に組み込まれているのはこのアニメだけだと思います。
なでしこが仕事が忙しくて見ることが出来なかったけど二組の友達グループから別の日の出を見ることが出来たように、家族や友達とのギャップを埋めるためのテクノロジーはステイホームの時代により関係しています。 リンはソロキャンプをしているけど友達や家族に写真やメッセージを送っているので孤独な一匹狼ではありません。思い出を自分だけのものではなく他者に共有するという現代の世界観を表していると思います。

Just when you thought Yuru Camp couldn’t get any better… they bring in KUROSAWA TOMOYO to voice a new character. Holy ****, she’s my favorite VA and I’m so happy I get to hear her again this season too.

ゆるキャンはこれ以上良くならないと思っていたけど黒沢ともよが新キャラの担当になった。お気に入りの声優だから今期で彼女の声が聞けるようになって嬉しい。

あやのが這ってなでしこのところに来た時に好きなキャラだって思った。 その後声を聞いて、再生を停止して声優の確認をしなくてはいけませんでした。

The production in Yuru Camp is almost unreasonably good… I’m loving all the VA work. It says a lot when even the text scenes… which rely purely on the VA performance… nail the humor and feel completely integrated into the story

ゆるキャンの演出はかなり良い。声優はみんな良い仕事をしている。 声優の演技に頼っているメッセージのシーンでもユーモアがあって物語に溶け込んでいる。

The best scene is the inuinuko-chan, where inuko is discovered (again) to be lying. But the deepest part of the episode is the scene at the looking out point – where she talked about why she solo camps. what she says is true for me for solo travel.

ベストシーンは犬子ちゃんが嘘をついているのが（今回も）バレたとき。 でも1番深いシーンは展望台で彼女がなぜソロキャンプをするか語っているところかな。彼女の言っていることは私の一人旅に当てはまる。

Last time I went to Japan it was with a group of friends, but there was a weekend where we all split off and went to different places. I’m pretty nervous when it comes to travelling because I don’t like being lost, but that one weekend where I was free to follow my own nose and not having to wait up or follow someone a uniquely fun experience. It helped that I was already there for a week so I got used to the metro system and could get around without having to walk everywhere.

最後に日本に行ったのは友達グループとだった。でも週末はみんなバラバラで違う場所に行った。迷子になるのが嫌だから心配だったけどある週末、思いのままにどこかへ行ってみたのが誰かを待ったりついて行ったりする必要もなく良い経験だった。すでに1週間滞在していたので地下鉄に慣れて歩かずに移動できたのも助かった。

Nadeshiko is just too pure for her own good! Watching eel being prepared is part of the fun and experience of going to a good Unagi joint.

なでしこはピュアすぎる。捌くのを見るのも鰻屋に行く楽しみの一つなのに。

Finding good Unagi outside of Japan is next to impossible let alone premium grade ones. I haven’t had the chance to eat the ones in Hamamatsu yet, but Tokyo unagi restaurants are no slouch as well!

良いうなぎを日本以外で見つけることは高級なものでなくても不可能に近い。

Ayano-chan sitting up from crawling to the hall welcoming Nadeshiko was beautifully animated! Almost KyoAni-level of animation!

LOL Rin popping out her eyes for $US 40 eels! To be fair when I and my family visited Japan (a dozen times or so thanks to my dad) anything over ¥1500 is only reserved for something really special (well exclusive eels rice may be one, but we haven’t tried that yet).

And then she got slimmed up to my favorite image of hers, but ughh that must have been dozen of kilometers for one lap around that Lake Hamana! No wonder she had so much strength pushing through uphills after uphills when she met Rin while on the bike back on the start of Season 1 – her sister must be some serious devil….

昔のなでしこが太っていたと想像出来ないけど中学校の時の丸顔は異常だね！ その後痩せて私の好きなイメージ通りになったけど、たぶん浜名湖一周は何十キロもあるよね 1期でリンに会った時上り坂を力強く登っていたのも不思議じゃないね。 彼女のお姉ちゃんは悪魔に違いない。

New girl Ayako has such a lazy sound. I really feel she’s such a precious addition to the casts. Hopefully we will see her camping out really soon~

Nadeshiko’s grin when she got on the motorcycle was the cutest thing ever. As usual a lovely cozy episode. I’ve never had eel, but have an urge to try it after today. Loved Rin’s introspection about solo camping too. Being alone with nothing but nature must be refreshing.

なでしこがバイクに乗った時の笑顔がめっちゃ可愛かった。 いつも通り心地の良いエピソードだった。鰻は食べたことがないけど今度食べてみたいと思った。 リンのソロキャンプの考察も良かった。自然の中で1人になるとリフレッシュになるよね。

Nadeshiko really makes anything look good This is probably one of the most relatable thing said in Anime. Now I’m craving for some good ****ing Unagi.

Rin is such a great character, and this episode did an amazing job showcasing the duality of how she’s learned to enjoy her time both as a solo camper and with her friends. I loved her brief meditation on that with Ayano and Nadeshiko at the lookout.

リンは素晴らしいキャラクターだね。このエピソードはリンがソロキャンプをしている時と友達と過ごす時にどう楽しんでいるかの二面性をうまく表現していました。あやのとなでしこと展望台に行った時の彼女の考察が好きです。
