I normally don’t notice insert music in anime, but I was noticing it all over this episode. I need the soundtrack!

普段は挿入歌が流れてるのに気づかないけど、今回は見ている間毎回聞こえたよ。サウンドトラックいるよね。

I thought this series was about to do some brave *** and actually have an openly gay character struggling with their gender identity. But being as Japan is the only country within the G7 to still not recognise same-sex couples at all legally. I bet all this is just more queer bait and hinting nobody is actually gay. Its still talking other issues like bullying and suicide but I really had hopes for something ground breaking. Visually it is stunning though so and I’m curious as to how it ends. I just wish there was a slice of life anime that wasnt afraid to talk about “”the big scary bad gays”” imo

「ワンダーエッグ・プライオリティ」は勇気あって性同一性に悩むゲイのキャラクターがいるのだと思っていたけど、日本という国として、法律的にG7の一つでもある同性カップルが認められていない国だから、これは興味を引かせるように同性愛を匂わせるんだと思うよ。実際は誰もゲイじゃないけどね。他の問題でもあるいじめや自殺についての課題もあるけど、何か新たな解決決法があることを願うよ。映像は本当に素晴らしいからどんな感じに終わるのか気になるよ。性同一性について恐れず話すことをテーマにした内容ががあればいいのに。

やっと追いついた、どんどん面白くなっきたよ。遊ばれているのは女の子たち、一方で仕掛け人は操り人形の中にいる男たち。沢木がアイの担任の苗字だっけ？忘れたけど。

when Rika mentioned that since they’re immortal there they’ll get better eventually… I wonder if that affects all their injuries? like if they stay in the egg world after they save the girl will they heal up and not have to go to the hospital irl.

リカが卵の中では彼女らは不死身で徐々に良くなってきていると言ったけど、それならすべての怪我や病気に影響があるのかな？例えば、少女を救った後彼女たちが卵の世界にいれば、良くなっていって、病院に行かなくて良いのかな。

I absolutely love this show so far and it’s got great potential but can anyone tell me why it suddenly turned a tad sexist for a second? I’m fine with an all girls cast it’s great, but why say that this whole concept only apply’s to girls when guys obviously deal with the exact same thing it sort of hinted that guys won’t feel emotion on the same level and was really out of the blue and unnecessary?

今のところ「ワンダーエッグ・プライオリティ」大好き、かなりこれからの可能性も感じるけど、何でいきなりちょっと性差別的な感じに変わったのか誰か教えて。出てくる登場人物には満足してるし、とってもいいけど、全体的なコンセプトとして男も全く同じ問題と向き合ってるのに、何故女の子にだけ当てはめるのだろう、男とはまた違うレベルの感情があるかのように。そんなに予測できないようなことなのかな、必要ないのかな？

I was actually bothered by that, too, but looking from another side. It felt weird when they were talking about how women were easier to manipulate or something like that, I’m not sure about the exact wording though. You also make a good point, too. But I am very hopeful about this show, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that scene were to be contradicted later in the series. Considering the fact that this episode greenlit one of the main characters having gender identitiy/presentation issues, I definitely think it wasn’t the show carelessly being sexist. They probably will toggle the issue later. We’ll see how it goes.

僕もそれが気になったよ、でも、違う方向から見たら、彼女たちが女の人はごまかしやすいと言っていたとき、変な感じがしたよ。正確には何て言ったらいいかわからないけど、、。君の言ってることはわかるよ。だけど、僕は「ワンダーエッグ・プライオリティ」に期待しているよ。例え、後々矛盾してきたとしても驚かないね。一部の主人公が性同一性障害、言い出せない問題を抱えた内容を考えると、性差別主義だと思わないよ。追々この問題に向き合っていくと思うよ、まぁこれからわかっていくんじゃないかな。

I don’t think the show is exploiting anything it’s tackling i think it actually has some nice and effective restraint. The show is pretty genuine with what topics it hits which can hit surprisingly hard but so far there is a decent hint of hope throughout the show.

I just watched this episode and then learnt that someone I knew took their own life one week ago. I didn’t know her too well but she was transgender, maybe in a similar position to Momoe, but watching this show really hit different now.

ちょうど今回の分見たところで、1週間前にある知人が同じような状況だったことを思い出したよ。彼女のことは良く知らなかったけど、性転換した子で、モモエとたぶん似たような状況だったんだと思う、今は見る度違う感じ方をするなぁ。

That dialogue in the beginning and the whole sequence of events in Momoe’s dream world make me wanna throw up. It’s not because it’s ****ed up, but because I know it’s happening in real life.

最初の方の会話部分とかモモエの夢の中で回想されるシーンは吐きそうになるよ。最悪ってことじゃないけど現実にもあるの知ってるからさ。

Oh my heart, Ai is certainly very hopeless and very lovely. I absolutely loved her first interaction with Momoe. She’s a superhero.

なんて可哀想なの、アイは完全に希望をなくしてしまってる愛らしい女の子だよ。モモエとのやり取りめっちゃ好きだったよ、カノジョはスーパーヒーロだね。

I don’t think they are transgender. I think most likely they are a girl who felt pressured to present masculine to meet the expectations of others who felt she better suited that role, especially in the context of her relationship with another girl. She might have felt it made it more normal i.e. heteronormative if she played out the role of a “”man”” in their relationship

彼女たちは性転換者じゃないと思うよ。彼女たちはただ男性っぽく振る舞う方が良いといった周りからの圧力を感じてるんだと思う。特に別の女の子との関係をみると。彼女の内面が”男の子”だったら、もっと普通に恋愛感情を感じていただろうしね。

More I watch this, more I believe this anime is something truly special. The thematics, characters, execution, art. Everything blends in perfectly.

観れば観るほど「ワンダーエッグ・プライオリティ」は特別なものだと感じるよ。この作品のテーマだったり、キャラクター、制作、アート全部

I love this show, and I loved this episode, but when they said that “”Men are goal-oriented, women are emotion-oriented,”” that really ticked me off. How can a show about these kinds of topics say that male suicide is not emotion-driven? Did I misunderstand that?

「ワンダーエッグ・プライオリティ」が好きだし、今回も良くって好きだけど、「男はゴール志向」「女は感情志向」て言ってるのを見て、かなりイライラしたよ。男の自殺は感情的衝動じゃないってなんで言えるの？捉え間違えかな？
