People pay hundreds for Esports coaches but man would I appreciate a life coach in the form Hinami even if she’s a hardass. Effort really does pay off though life can throw some really stupid **** so with that said I can’t totally agree with her that life is a Kamige.

Eスポーツのコーチに大金払う人いるけど、日南みたいな人生のコーチがいたら多少手ごわくても喜んで払うね。 努力が報われるときもあるけど、人生には理不尽なこともあるから日南が人生は神ゲーだっていうのに完全には同意できないね。

I get a bit angry with how pushy and overly positive she can be sometimes, but in the end, Tomozaki needed the push. Its just that not everybody works like that, you can get better social skills but you shoudn’t push yourself or accept somebody pushing yourself to turn into a happy go lucky person. As somebody who dealt with depression more than once, my social skills improved a lot and i have a much brighter sight about life, but it didnt mean i suddenly became positive and ****, in fact i am still very negative about a lot of stuff, especially about myself, its just that i am not alone and coping became much easier with time.

日南はたまにポジティブ過ぎて押しつけがましいからイラっとするときがあるけど、結局友崎はその押しが必要なんだよね。 ただ、皆が皆そうとは限らないから、コミュ力を上げるのは良いけど無理やりリア充にしようと押し付けてくる人を受け入れる必要はないと思う。 自分は何回か鬱っぽくなったことがある。今はコミュ力もだいぶ改善して人生に対して前向きになれたけど、ある日突然ポジティブになれたわけじゃないし、 今でもまだ色々なこと、特に自分自身に対してはすごくネガティブ。ただ独りぼっちじゃないし時間が経つにつれて立ち回るのが上手くなったってことかな。

Great first episode. Looks like it will be a fun ride. Can see why people compare it to Oregairu, but the difference being Tomozaku actually tries to improve himself from the start.

第1話としてはすごく良かった。これからも楽しく見れそう。「俺がいる」と比較されるのは分かるけど、友崎は最初から自分を変えようとしているってところが違うかな。

No matter what you think about the show in general, the character designs of the girls are top notch imho.

アニメ自体がどうかは置いておいて、女の子たちのキャラのデザインが最高だね　笑

The anime is actually trending on twitter didn’t know the Light Novel was this popular.

Ngl that was a little difficult to watch

正直に言うとちょっと見てるのが辛かった

I unironically hated basically every line these characters were saying

I thought it was alright. The premise doesn’t interest me all that much but I did like the goals shown at the end.

まあまあだった。設定にはそこまで興味そそられなかったけど、最後の目標設定したところは良かった。

I came for escapism and the show just decides to slap and spit on me, back to my fantasy anime

現実逃避のために弱キャラ友崎くんを見に来たけど、顔に冷水をかけられた。 やっぱりいつものファンタジーアニメに戻るわ

Was expecthing some supernatural/maigc when I read in the synopsys about the “explore some exploits in the game of life”, never thought the “expoits” would be wear make up, show a smile and change your attitude. Lol, fair enough. You got me there. XD

「人生というゲームの攻略法をみつける」というあらすじを見て、超自然/魔法のようなものを期待していたんだけど、攻略法が化粧をする、笑顔を見せる、態度を変えるだとは思わなかった（ 笑） なるほどね、痛いところを突くね （笑）

Oof. This was actually quite good but it was also really painful to watch, because everything about Fumiya hit so close to home and I admit that I share a few of his opinions about life. I have a strong feeling that Aoi won’t be the one to get together with Fumiya, they’re just too different despite both of them being passionate gamers and she’s displayed zero romantic interest towards him so far. If I can push through each episode while it lectures me about real life, then I think I can see myself continuing with this.

ふう。結構よかったけど、同時に見るのがすごくつらかったね。 文也の全部がすごく身近に感じられて、彼の人生観に少し共感できる部分があった。 2人とも熱心なゲーマーだけど、日南と文也は性格が違いすぎるし、日南はいまのところ文也に対して異性としての興味を一切持ってなさそうだから、文也とくっつくのは日南じゃないと思う。 毎話人生への教訓をたれる内容に耐えられたら見続けるかもね。

I felt the show was kinda “pushy” with its messages, I don’t think I’m able to handle much of this

メッセージ性が強くてちょっと押しつけがましく感じた。ちょっと受け入れられないかも。

I’ll just say that the character development is pretty good in the LN so stick with this anime even if the characters say some pretty cringy stuff sometimes.

ライトノベルではキャラクターの作り込みが結構良かったから、アニメでキャラがたまに萎えるセリフを言ったとしても見続けようと思う。

Too relatable MC except I sucks at games too lol But messaged received, calling life sucks without giving effort is just loser’s rambling I guess I just need to wait for person like Hinami Anyway I feel like I will need to pause a lot in future episodes to gain confidence for keep watching

メインキャラがすごい共感できる。自分はゲーム下手だからそこ以外は（笑） でもメッセージは伝わった。努力もせずに人生をクソゲーと呼ぶのは負け犬の遠吠えってことだよね。 日南みたいな子が来るのを待つしかないかな。 何にしろ、弱キャラ友崎くんを見続けるには何回か中断しつつ見ないと無理かも。

I want to give this a chance, but sorry, when Hinami appears unchanged and Tomozaki can’t recognize her, I just can’t go on. At least do the cliche thing of putting on glasses and tying up the hair. Sure, IRL makeup can make the world of difference, but I literally did not know she was trying to make a point here until she said she’s C+. WHAT? In what universe is that C+? If THAT is telling you that you can overcome disadvantages in life, **** off. It’s like “a small loan of 1 million dollar.”

弱キャラ友崎くんにチャンスをあげたかったけど、ごめん無理だ。 日南が一切変化なく友崎の前に現れたとき、友崎が彼女が誰か分からなくって、さすがにそれはないだろと思った。見てられない。 せめてお決まりの眼鏡だったり、髪の毛を束ねるだったりはしてほしかった。 確かに現実では化粧で世界が変わるかもしれないけど、日南が自分のことを普通以下って言うまで何をしようとしてるのか分からなかった。 何だって？あれで普通以下？もしその容姿で人生での不利を乗り越えられるとかいうんだったらもう黙ってくれ。 現実味がなさすぎる。

I don’t get how this show went from mega-cringe levels straight to “Should I be taking notes? What did she say about starting conversations? Man, I need to learn some interesting topics to talk with people”. I’m probably in it for the long run now, I want to see my man succeed and have a healthy social life.

なぜか分からないけど、初めはドン引きするような内容だったのにいつの間にか「ノート取ったほうがいいかな？ 会話を始めるためにはどうすればいいって？人と話すには面白い話題について知ってないといけないのか・・」ってのめり込んでる自分がいた。 多分これからも見続けると思うね、友崎がちゃんとした健康的な社会生活が送れるようになるまで見届けたい。

That was a great episode, I definitely enjoyed it much more than the first episode and I have come to liked Hinami and Tomozaki more this episode. Not that the first episode was bad for me, I guess it was just too serious. Most of the time people who are always happy and energetic are usually the ones with big problems inside, hopefully that is not the case for Mimimi. I also like how Tomozaki is trying to become less anti-social, of course it’s not as easy as this but, it is kind of like that so it’s relatable.

1話よりも楽しめたし、日南と友崎のことをもっと好きになれたからとても良かった。 1話が悪かったっていうわけではないんだけど、ちょっとシリアスすぎたかな。 ほとんどの場合、いつも楽しそうでエネルギッシュな人ほど実は心の中に大きな問題を抱えてたりするから、みみみがそうじゃないといいな。 友崎が社交的になろうと努力しているのには好感が持てるし、もちろん実際はこんなに簡単には行かないけど共感できる部分はあると思う。

I definitely could have done without the cringey fan service moments but I guess it comes with the territory… I’m still interested enough to see how this turns out but I thought the 1st episode was better.

あの過激なファンサービスのシーンには引いちゃったから、なくても良かったけど、たぶんこの手のアニメにはこういシーンは絶対あるんだろうな。 これからどうなっていくか気になるけど、1話の方が良かったと思う。

Well, it was not as bad as the first episode, still… Tomozaki got in on the group way too fast… At least the other girls are not bad. Even Aoi is better when in her normal environment and not in her “let me show you how socializing works kiddo” mode. MC is still pretty cringe in either scenarios, but that’s the point of it, I guess. Find a girl in your life that laughs at your stupid cringe talk and treat it like it’s the funniest joke in the world. That’s a keeper and perhaps MC’s only hope. Forget Aoi, Minami’s is where it’s at.

1話ほど悪くはなかったけど、、、友崎がグループに馴染むのが速すぎて、、 他の女の子たちは悪くなかったかな。葵ですら友崎よりましだった。（「おこちゃま見てなさい、コミュ力高いってこういうことよ」モードじゃなくて通常モードの時に限定されるけど） 主人公はどっちの世界線でも不自然だけど、たぶんそれが狙いなんだろうな。 バカバカしいオタクっぽい話に、世界で一番面白い冗談のように笑ってくれる女の子を探せ。 それってすごくいいアイディアだし、主人公の唯一の希望だもんね。 葵は忘れろ、みなみが一番だ。

I’m really enjoying this show. To anyone who has seen the dress code hierarchy in action, how does something like that even gets set up?

すごく楽しく見ることができた。 実生活でカーストによって服装が決まる暗黙のルールを見たことのある人に聞きたいんだけど、どうやってそんな決まりができるか知ってる？

Better episode how that we’ve expanded the cast some more, so it doesn’t have to rely entirely on Aoi doing all the leg work. Tomozaki is definitely improving which is good, although I feel his blunders are more hit and miss than strictly bad; although that might be reading too much into him trying to force the tasks and thus blurting out whatever comes to mind than thinking about an response (which is something people just don’t do well regardless) The ‘speaks your mind” conversation at the end was rather telling. Aoi definitely is not speaking her ‘true’ mind either from what she talks about with other people versus the one time she let her gamer side slip out and immediately changed the subject. I get the feeling she cares almost too much about what other people think of her, and that like a game there is always a way to rebuild a relationship if you just grind enough affection values or something. We’ll see what happens if either of them make a blunder you can’t really recover from.

キャラが新しく増えて、葵が全部の仕事をこなす必要がなくなったから良かった。 友崎は確実に良くなってると思う。 課題をクリアしようとするあまり、返答を考えてから喋るんじゃなくて、頭に浮かんだことを口走っちゃう（こうなっちゃう人はたくさんいるんだけど）から、 いつも失敗してるというよりは当たり外れがあるかんじだけど。 最後の「自分の意見をちゃんと言える」っていう会話についてはなかなか意味深かったと思う。葵は他の生徒たちと喋ってる時と、ゲーマーの本性が出てしまったときにすぐに話題を変えた時があったから、絶対に「本当に」思ってることを喋ってない。 彼女が他の人にどう思われるかを気にしすぎている気持ちは理解できるし、ゲームみたいに関係性を立て直す方法は何かしらある（相手に対して誠心誠意向き合うとか）と思う。 友崎と葵のどちらかがリカバリーできないほどの失敗を犯したらどうなるかが見ものだね。

I liked this episode as much as the first one. I hope the romance part grows soon though, i’m here for the journey from “Life is a bad game” to “I’m good, Life is not so bad” and he getting a partner is a big part of that.

1話と同じくらい楽しめた。恋愛要素がもっと出てきてほしい。「人生はクソゲーだ」から「俺は大丈夫だ。人生はそこまで悪くない」って思えるまでの過程を見届けたいし、その中でも彼女を作るっていうは重要な部分だと思うから。

Am i the only one who pissed when i see the shuji guy? I dont like his personality looks like an airhead guy.

修二を見るとイラっとするのんだけど。頭が空っぽみたいな性格が好きじゃない。

Wasn’t really sure about picking up this anime but i’m glad I did. Yeah, Tomozaki can be cringy sometimes but I see it more in the sense that his conversational skills suck and not that he’s being awkward just because. Also, apparently this is not a harem, so i’m more than excited to keep watching the show and who knows, check the LN later.

弱キャラ友崎くんを見ようか迷ってたけど、見てよかった。 確かに友崎はたまにすごく不自然なときがあるけど、気まずいというよりはコミュ力が低すぎるからだと思う。 ハーレムものじゃなさそうだから、「弱キャラ友崎くん」を見続けると思う。ラノベも後でチェックしてみるかも。

The synopsis for this anime made it sound pretty ass, but I’m honestly enjoying it so far. The MC is actually sincere and wants to change, and actually gets character development. I have high hopes for this one.

弱キャラ友崎くんのあらすじはちょっと酷いけど、いまのところすごく楽しめてる。 主人公は素直で実際に変わろうとしてるし、キャラとしての厚みも出てきてる。 「弱キャラ友崎くん」は、結構期待値高い。

Tomozaki calling out the fakeness of Minami was so great. Sadly the rest was littered with way too convenient approaches of girls interested in him or his Smash skill. I hope the lies Minami spreads about real life being the “Perfect Game” will soon be proofed as fake as she herself is.

友崎がみなみの嘘っぽさを非難したのはすごく良かった。他のシーンは残念ながら、友崎本人か友崎のゲームの腕前に女子が興味を持つっていう都合が良すぎる展開でとっちらかった印象になってしまった。 みなみの言う「人生は神ゲーだ」っていう嘘が彼女自身の嘘っぽさと共に嘘だと証明されるときがくるといいけど。

Let’s not forget that the reason Tomozaki hates normies is that he hates “the game of life”, and he hates it even before he tries and explores what the world has to offer. This life coaching thing is just the tutorial part of the game, where Hanami guides him to what “normal” people do. I’m still hopeful that the story can progress enough to allow him to explore this on his own.

みんな、友崎が普通の子たちのことを嫌ってる理由が、「人生というゲーム」が嫌い（実際に世界がどんなものか知ろうともしないので）だからっていうことを忘れないで。 日南が友崎を「普通の」子たちがするようなことができるように指導しているのは、いわばゲームでいうところのチュートリアルの部分でしかない。 今後友崎が自分の力で人生という道を切り開いていけるようにストーリーが展開してくれることを願っている。

Very good episode, I enjoyed it. Tomozaki asking the shop clerk for the clothes on the mannequin and failing miserably is relatable as ****. I honestly don’t think Hinami is forcing or manipulating Tomozaki or something like that. She’s just guiding him and giving him a push forward, at the end of the day it’s still Tomozaki’s choice and his choice is improving himself. Though Tomozaki trying to talk to Izumi was painful to watch lmao but it really do be like that, I didn’t like how he lied to Kikuchi though, I hope he becomes honest with her eventually cause I like Kikuchi.

とてもいい回だった。すごく楽しめた。友崎が店員にマネキンの服を試着したいとお願いするときに、うまく聞けず惨めになっているところはこれ以上ないくらい共感できた。 日南が友崎を無理やり操ろうとしてるとは思わない。彼女は彼を指導して背中を押してあげているだけだと思うし、最終的には友崎が自分で選んだことで、実際にも良くなってきている。 友崎が泉に話しかけようとしていたのは見てて辛かったけど（笑）、実際ああいう風になっちゃうよね。 菊池に嘘をついたのはあんまり好きじゃなかったなあ、個人的に菊地結構お気に入りだから最後には友崎がちゃんと正直になれるといいな。

I mean there is gotta be another reason for minami to spend so much effort helping tomozaki out other than tomozaku being good at smash bro

おいおい、日南が友崎を助けるのにここまで努力しているのには単にゲームが上手だからっていう以外にも理由がなきゃ絶対おかしいよ。

Is it just me or did the quality of the animation go down a lot this episode? Things just looked clunky to me. But whatever, animation doesn’t really matter for this show as it is all about the story. I like Hinami, but forcing someone to change their entire look doesn’t seem like the best way to help him grow. Like that is implying you need to change from your normal self to fit in. Did love that she grabbed his ass again though lol. And that ending! My boy talked to the girl all on is his own and now will play his favorite game with here!?! I SEE THAT AS AN ABSOLUTE WIN!

今回アニメーションの質がすごく下がったと思うのは私だけ？全体的にぎこちなく不自然に見えた。 まあ、「弱キャラ友崎くん」はストーリーがメインだから絵はそこまで気にならないんだけど。 日南は結構好きだけど、友崎の外見を無理やり変えさせるのは彼を成長させるいい方法だとは思わないな。 だってそれって、暗にいつもの自分から変わらないと周りに馴染めないって言ってるようなものだから。 また友崎のお尻をつかんだのは面白かったけど（笑） そしてあのエンディング！私の友崎くんが女子に一人で話しかけて一緒にゲームをやるって？最高じゃん。

Yeah, last episode was better, but we’re back. The cringe is thick, Hinami is bossy af, MC is a pushover, when he was right about being insincere, Hinami easily overrides his concern. Oh, and Tomozaki ALREADY having Fuka interested in him, and Izumi being interested in Tackfam all of a sudden is way too convenient. The show feels all kinds of wrong, feels like a cringe encouragement for dweebs/”gamers” to step out into the world and girls will fall at their feet if they tried a little, which already seem to be doing. It’s ridiculous, really.

前回の方がましだったね、また元通りになってるよ。 日南は押しつけがましいし、主人公もいいなりで、友崎が不誠実なふるまいに対して気にしていたのは正しかったのに、日南が簡単にその考えを覆しちゃってた。 あと、風香がこんなに早く友崎に興味を持っているのと、泉がアタファミに急に興味を持ったのはあまりにもご都合主義だな。 なんか全体的に違う感じがして、ガリ勉/ゲーマーに外の世界に出ていくと、少し努力しただけで女子たちが崇めてくれるっていう幻想を植え付けてる気がする。すごく馬鹿げてる。

I’m actually shipping Tomozaki and Hinami here. Both have massive flaws which seems like they can only realize the deeper their “relationship” goes. Feels like this is another case of searching for a “genuine” relationship (not that I’m complaining).

友崎と日南にくっついてほしい。 お互いにすごく大きな欠陥を持ってるけど、それはお互いがもっと深い関係にならないと気付けないものだったりする。 なんかよくある「本物の」恋愛を探す話って感じがするね（別に不満があるわけじゃないけど）

While I’m most certainly a member of Team Minami, Kukuchi is an Angel who blesses every room she geeks out in.

絶対的にみなみ推しだけど、菊池は行く先々でみんなを笑顔にできる天使だね。

Hot damn I did not expect that from Izumi in the ending. Dude is a lucky bastard cause he’s getting a harem even if he’s failing at social skills but at least he’s trying.

わお、エンディングの泉の行動は想定外だったな。 こいつすごいラッキーな奴だよ、コミュ障なのにハーレム作ってるんだから。まあ頑張りは認めるけど。

Holy ****, Tomozaki becomes a completely different person when it comes to Tackfam, it fits with what he said about being sincere in his interactions over being superficial like Aoi suggested. His speech wasn’t quite as epic as Saori Hayami’s famous one, but IMO it was just as impactful because everything he said was absolutely right.

まじかよ、アタファミの話してるときの友崎完全に別人みたい。葵のような表面的な付き合いじゃなくて、真摯に向き合う友崎の姿勢が表れてる。 友崎の語りはかの有名な早見沙織のものほど最高っていうわけではなかったけど、彼の言ってたことは本当に的を得ていたしインパクトがあったと思う。

Izumi’s defense of Tomozaki at the end there was a nice repayment of the tutoring he provided. She gets that what he’s saying is right even if she’s just scratched the surface of the game. Interested to see how their relationship progresses from here.

最後に泉が友崎をかばったところは、ゲームを教えてあげた友崎に対しての良いお返しになったと思う。彼女はまだゲームを始めたばかりだけど、友崎の言っていることが正しいって理解している。今後二人の関係性がどう発展するのか気になる。

I’m with Tomozaki on not liking people who diss the effort and improvement people put in for themselves.

努力して変わろうとしている人のことを馬鹿にする人が嫌いっていう点は友崎と完全に同意できるね。

Man that was actually a really ****ing solid episode, probably best one I’ve seen so far that isn’t from a returning show. They’re actually nailing pretty much everything with this show, even though it’s fairly underrated. Though ngl, him screaming there was a little bit awkward. You can tell the VA has talent but I think it was just little bit too exaggerated. Perhaps the point was to make it a little awkward to show how deep his love is for the game, but if that were the case I would’ve wanted the blonde to say something more about it either than “Freak”. I guess he did literally call her out for only being able to say those words though haha. Edit: Okay, that Mushoku Tensei Isekai has some really banger episodes too, but for their respective genres I’d say they’re at their tops currently this season. Hell genre aside I’d even say they’re pretty tied up, with Mushoku winning only because of design and animation.

わお、すごく中身のあるいい話だった。今まで見た続編じゃないアニメの中では一番良かった。 全体的にすごく良いのに、ちゃんと評価がされていない気がする。ただ、正直に言うと友崎が叫んでたところはさすがにちょっと気まずい感じがあったね。 声優さんはすごく上手いんだけど、少し大げさだったかなと思う。友崎がどれほどゲームを愛しているかを表現するために少し気まずい空気感にしたんだろうけど、だったらブロンドの子に「きもい」の他にも何か言ってほしかった。実際、友崎も彼女にそのことについて言ってたしね（笑） 追記：まあ、無職転生異世界もすごくいいエピソードがあるけど、今期のアニメの中ではそれぞれのジャンルの中で二つともトップに君臨してると思う。 ジャンル分けを無視すると、無職の方がデザインとアニメーションが優れているという点で優勝だけど2作品ともいい勝負をしている。

Aside from Tomozaki’s outburst, which was really well-done, I really like the way Tomozaki handled the situation with Fuka. He was totally honest and now they can become friends and get to know each other and maybe perhaps get together at a later point. I’m glad it’s not going to be a relationship based on a misunderstanding and stuff, kinda like with Rent-A-Girlfriend, cause that can get annoying real fast.

友崎が感情を爆発させたところはすごく良かったし、それ以外にも友崎の風香への対応がすごく好き。 彼は彼女に対してすごく正直だったし、今では友達になれて将来的には付き合ったりもできるかも。 「彼女、お借りします」みたいに誤解を生んだままの関係性にならなくて良かった、すぐに面倒くさい感じになっちゃうから。

TOMOZAKI JUST STOLE THE SHOW!!! His honesty with Fuuka and Yuzu was nice to see. But the highlight of the episode has to be the speech. Best episode thus far.

友崎が注目の的だったね！！！ 風香と優鈴への真摯な態度が良かった。でもハイライトはやっぱりあのスピーチだね。 今までで一番いい回だった。

Best episode so far. Tomozaki started to look more “true to himself” while managing to still keep growing. That’s the best scenario. Of course it can get a little “cringey” but **** off, you can accomplish much if that’s all you gonna care about. Starting to get proud of that boy.

今までで一番いい回だった。 友崎が成長し続けながらも「自分に正直」になり始めたのが見てとれる。 それって一番いいシナリオだよね。もちろん少し「小っ恥ずかしい」感じになり兼ねないけど、そんなの気にしてたら何も成し遂げられないからね。 友崎のことが誇らしく思えてきた。

I admit I was… concerned about whether the plot would be a bit too ‘pick-up artist’ to put up with (but I found myself coming back because the ED was so catchy, of all things) – I was really pleasantly surprised about this episode primarily being about practicing at something niche to improve, and all of the complex feelings that come with that. I did want to see the girl try out her new skills though; I’m rooting for her to kick ass.

アニメのシナリオがちょっと「ナンパ師」っぽい感じになるんじゃないかと心配してけど（結局エンディングが最高だし戻ってきたんだけど）、 今回のエピソードでマイナーなものを上手くなるために練習するというとと、それに伴う複雑な感情についてを取り上げていたからいい意味で驚かされた。 泉が新しい技を試すのを見てみたかったけどな、彼女が上達できるように応援している。

Not gonna lie, I cringe a lot while watching this anime. But surprisingly enough, I still like it. Seems more a bit more real than the usual awkward character suddenly turning into a chad and it is actually fun to watch. Him going off on that blonde girl while using cringe words but actually having a point was good to watch tho. I guess he is getting some character development.

I really am enjoying this so far! But hate the storyline of Aoi and that other kid being a couple. Like I assume the guy likes her, but no way she likes him. That being said, I also really like Izumi who I low-key feel will grow to like the MC instead. So right now I am in a win-win with either storyline playing out!

Am i the only one thinking misuzawa loves hinami but he knows about tomozaki and her after school meet, and this is all just a plan to be nice to tomozaki and finally break his spirits down? I’m not hoping for that but i just had a feeling, since he knew hinami loved cheese, and there are rumours too.

Ah yes in comes best girl time, Mimimi, i’ve been waiting for her It’s not always that I agree with kinda the rules or things that Aoi explains, but I have to admit the pacing is really good. Tomozaki is slowly learning the ropes, one thing at a time. I was kinda worried that he would turn super chad mode in like a few episodes, but no this is steady growth. The anxiety of being invited to that LINE TWINE group hits too close to home

I appreciate how the theme about convincing people was depicted in this episode. Most of the time, fact (with a lot of references) alone is not enough to convince people. Good story line, tone, and style of expression matter a lot. In the chibi-game, at least Kikuchi-san took Tomozaki’s side. In real life, wrong approach can result in no one buying my argument. (Anyway, this may not apply if ‘making statement’ is the only purpose of communication.)

This anime is getting pretty good pretty quick. It’s really interesting how accurate high school relationships are depicted here, and how indepth the details are regarding each character’s personality. Also really makes you think how many authentic interactions we had during our high school years lol

Aoi is trying to make tomozaki a male version of herself, taking all of his hints of personality away and shutting down anything that he wants to try. I’m beginning to hate her after that shut down late this ep

Another great episode for one of the best shows of the season. Highlight of today’s ep: Again, we see Tomozaki’s communication and social awareness skills get better today. His conversations are so much more lively now than they were at episodes 1-2. He’s still awkward and they aren’t by any means fluid, but he’s making progress which is the purpose of the series. Remember that. It looks like he’s jealous of Mizusawa, so I’m interested to see how that plays out. May boil over into an argument. I like his new hair a lot too.

いま6話一気見したけど、「弱キャラ友崎くん」過小評価されすぎだと思う。

I bet the reason he’s working to beat Aoi is because he caught feelings and the only way he believes she’d accept him is if he was close to her level and defeating her in the Student Council race would go a long way. Also, not showing the belly button lick is so unfair. 🙁

友崎が葵を負かすために躍起になっているのは葵のことが気になり始めたからで、葵が気持ちに答えてくれるには彼女と同じレベルに達しないといけないと思ってる。 それには生徒会選挙で葵に勝つことが大きな前進になるからね。 あと、おへそを舐めるシーンがないのは不公平だよ（泣）

Amazing. Simply, utterly amazing. I mean, it’s honestly incredible how the mere fact that we got so much of Mimimi and less of Hinami made me love the episode. Just, wow a complete 180° really. Well, I’m totally biased here: genki girls are the light of salvation for my broken soul, so of course I would love an episode filled with Mimimi’s energy. Add to that the more refreshing perverted combo and it’s overkillSaten has less effect on me for some reason. If only we had gotten more of her in the previous episodes as well… I just hope we will see more of her in the next episodes at least. I really hope Tomozaki will be able to get some critical hit on Hinami at least though

素晴らしい。シンプルにとても素晴らしい。まじで、みみみがたくさん取り上げられてて、日南がほとんど出てこなかったのっていう事実だけでこのエピソード最高だって思えた。 ほんとに、これまでとは180度変わったね。 すごく贔屓目で見てるけど、僕の壊れた魂には元気な女の子たちが救いなんだよね。だから、みみみのエネルギーに満ちたエピソードなんか大好物に決まってる。 ちなみにいうと、変態コンビはやりすぎで逆にあんまりツボにはまらなかったな。これまでのエピソードにももっとみみみが出てきてたらな、、、 せめて次回にはもっとみみみが出てきてほしいよ。 友崎には本当に日南にギャフンと言わせてほしいけどね。

Great episode! Show just gradually gets better as it goes by. If I didn’t like Mimimi before I sure as hell do now. She was fantastic this episode. Also Tomozaki, I can relate when he was saying some out of character ****, I do that sometimes lmao. Fuuka might not have much screentime this episode but her few moments of screentime were adorable. I hope the Fuuka and Tomozaki ship set sails. Looking forward to the next episode.

When he outwardly said that a waifu was cute to her face; damn man, that was smooth. Minami’s reason behind challenging Aoi was a really good one. It felt real. And our MC is growing so well. I appreciate how he’s using his own tactics for the campaign, and not just following a tried and tested build. I hope they win.

I like how Minimi didn’t initially accept Tomozaki as campaign manager. That would’ve been too forced and this feels much more organic. Was kind of hoping Aoi would get jealous seeing them close together in the cafeteria but oh well this is fine too. I am excited to see whom they will eventually ship Tomozaki with!

It was cool seeing Tomozaki put what he has been learning into practice. It’s nice to see Megumi’s character more fleshed out and to have the stage set for her to experience growth. Honestly though, this episode came out a bit flat for me. I understand why, as this episode was mostly setup. I am however, really looking forward to the payoff. I’d absolutely love to see Minami win. Purely because of the potential ramifications for Tomozaki and Aoi’s relationship. I’d love to see what effect that would have on Aoi, and how the two of them would deal with it.

友崎がこれまで学んだことを実践するのを見れて良かった。みみみのキャラとしての成長を見られるように彼女に焦点を当てたエピソードでなかなか良かった。 ただ正直に言うと、今回のエピソードはちょっとつまらなく感じたな。今後の話を進めるうえでのベースとなる話だからっていうのは分かってる。 みみみが勝利して報われるところを見たい。単純に友崎と葵の今後の関係性を複雑にしていく上でそうなってほしいだけなんだけどね。 それが葵にどんな影響を与えて、2人がどう対処していくのかぜひ見てみたい。

This show has now become my favorite criminally underrated show in a long time. Seriously, its so unacceptable how underrated it is just from the first ep. I do hope we get more kikuchi soon too, shes just so cute

When Hinami was performing her speech I was like “It’s over”, Hinami won as expected. But, Tomozaki and Mimimi still did a good job. Another episode with a few minutes of Fuka screentime but I ain’t complaining, every second is worth it. We better see that movie date next episode. Damn, it’s to be expected that girls like Mimimi would run out of energy eventually. Looking forward to the next episode.

Honestly, Aoi is too perfect, it’s kinda frustrating. I can totally see Mimimi being ultra-frustrated, too. Also, what’s her REAL game in all of this. Something strange is afoot here. There’s no way she’s simply trying to get Tomozaki to change. She dictates almost everything he does still despite him making huge strides into being more sociable.

I started watching this show because it was in my preferred genres, but the way the first episode went, I thought I’d drop it. I’m very glad I stuck with it. This episode is probably the best one yet. The amount of development in the characters is great and the pacing overall was very well done. This series has done a great job at both explaining and not explaining the characters in it. It’s part of the reason I come back each week.

Aoi again being perfect in everything without any trouble or flaws. Like mentioned by Tomozaki in Episode 1 or 2, that life is easy for Aoi since she is talented. This holds true till now and makes her teaching on life falseful. Also not everyone is a robot like Aoi who needs no sleep and can work the whole day.

また葵が何の問題や欠陥もなくすべてにおいて完璧だったね。友崎が1話と2話で言ったように、人生が簡単なのは葵が才能に恵まれているからだよね。 今のところそれは当てはまっていて、彼女の人生の教えに反してい。 しかも、皆が葵みたいに睡眠時間なしで一日中働いてられるロボットじゃないしね。

Ugh what a quick cliffhanger they threw in a the end, that Minami showed up to school the next day and wasn’t herself. Not surprised Aoi won, but I low-key wanted Minami to win. I also feel like she probably is a time bomb that is about to explode, as she hasn’t let out her real emotions on losing the election. I am surprised how much I am enjoying this, and I am 100% looking forward to the moment where all the girls realize they like the MC. Because I low-key think our boy is slowly building up a harem with all of them lol.

Im at a point in the show where im just hoping that something big happens. For me the show is getting a little dull, but hopefully the ending means that something big is happening

I’m really happy that Tomozaki has shown improvement in reading situations, but it’s really sad that he didn’t realize fast enough that he was being invited to the lunch room. I bet that would’ve helped with the feelings that Minmi currently has. Hopefully things don’t get too bad, but a lot of things in this episode were foreshadowing this, like the statement at the end and Ai talking about how, in her experience, effort doesn’t always make things better.

For a moment, I thought Aoi was serious when she “”admitted”” that she and Mizusawa were dating. But since she confirmed they’re not, guess this means the window is open for Tomozaki whenever he decides to shoot his shot.

Looks like I’m the only one noticing it here, but this episode had a huge drop in visual quality. I guess the animators didn’t have much time from the producers but one of the quality of this show was the great visuals. I hope it was just a 1 time thing, because I actually love the story and the characters.

Dunno, but I think Aoi has some sort of Trauma… her behaviour doesn’t seem admireable anymore, more like toxic – like people who overwork themselves on purpose to escape problems in their daily life. The only thing that doesn’t make sense is how she could’ve the time to become world second in Tackfam while doing all that other stuff as well.

Seems like it takes more than words to get a message across, sometimes it depends on ‘the person’ who sends the message as well. Tomozaki’s reasoning is valid, but that alone cannot solve Mimimi’s issues. Fortunately, Tama-chan managed to convince Mimimi and stop this tension. Having good friends who care about you is a blessing indeed.

There is still one thing that bothers me about this show. And that is the lack of romance in this series. Even though it has the romance tag on MAL I have barely seen anything suggest this shouldn’t just be Drama, School. The character development has been really good. But I do not think it will warrant enough to push for a second season. I don’t know what sort of romance they can even put in at this point as it would seem really rushed to introduce it in the last 4 episodes.

Almost feel bad for aoi there with tomozakis mindset. While he does want to beat her when she plays (as she is his main competition) it’s still about being better than himself at the end of the day almost overlooking her and I’m sure that’s how she felt. なんでか分からないけど、みみみがああいうジェスチャーをしてるのを見るとなんか変な感じがした。直近の2-3話を見た後だと特に。

After the first episode, I thought this would be those cheesy how-to-fit-in-to-society kind of thing. But some of the tips and observations have been legit. Like I’ve never realized it myself but the part about messing around with guys you just met so you’ll be treated as an equal rather than a punching bag hits too close to home. I may even be guilty of it myself. If some new guy comes and we jokingly tease him and he doesn’t retort, we think he’s fine with those kind of jokes towards him. Also, I really like how Tomozaki’s interactions and relationships with all the characters feel really organic. But Aoi pointed out something too right this ep. His circle has too many girls and he needs to start making some guy friends. If that little moment with Nakamura at his house is anything to go by, I would love to see more guy friendships in romcoms like this. Horimiya is already doing a great job at it.

1話を見た後は、よくあるダサい「いかにして社会に馴染めるか」系のアニメかと思ってたけど、出てくるコツや意見はすごく的を得ていた。 自分では気づかなかったけど、会ったばかりの男子をいじることでいじめられ役に回るのではなく、対等な関係として扱われるっていうこととかすごく身につまされた。 自分も知らずのうちにそうしてたのかなって。もし新しい男子が入ってきて、みんなが彼を冗談でいじっても何も言い返してこなかったら、別に気にしてないのかなって思う。 あと、友崎の他のキャラ達との関係ややり取りを見てると、すごく自然で良いと思う。ただ、葵は今回のエピソードですごく的を得たことを言ってたね。彼の友達の輪は女子に偏りすぎているから、男子の友達も増やさないとって。 中村の家での一幕を見て、こういうラブコメ系のアニメの中でももっと男子の友情が見たいなと思った。そういう意味だと、ほりみやはなかなか上手くやってると思う。

I really think Aoi is pushing just a little too hard in terms of trying to get Tomozaki and Kikuchi together. Sure, she likes him, but is she what he wants? Of course, at thst she when you have zero experience dating anyone is a big deal. People are beginning to notice the changes in Tomozaki, which I think is both good and bad. It’s good in the sense of him becoming more socially aware and achieving a certain popularity, but it may not be so good in terms of presenting the best version of himself that he can. What Aoi is doing is helping him, but he also needs to make more decisions on his own now that he’s getting some traction

I’m still not sure if Tomozaki actually likes Kikuchi, it still feels like he’s doing it just for the sake of Aoi set task. I don’t think they’re planning to do another season after this so I’m wondering how they’re gonna wrap up the anime

It was really unsettling to watch Aoi in “”girlfriend mode”” when you know she’s faking that side of her. Really hoping that Tomozaki and Kikuchi do end up together. I have a feeling they won’t, but they’re a great fit together. Here’s hoping that Tomozaki figures out that the rehearsed conversational topics are actually backfiring with Kikuchi and he just sticks to acting naturally.

I guess they look at women differently as Mizusawa claims to be one of those that relationships come easily to so he may not value them in the same way. Anyone else think Nanami was going to confess but chickened out? Is Hinami teasing Fumiya or are they actually having a moment? I’d been expecting something along these lines, but maybe not quite yet.

Oh Tomozaki’s awkward feeling on camp trips such a relatable guy. I wonder what Hinami wanted out of Tomozaki over that special practice thing? She knew about what Fuka said about Tomozaki being hard to talk to and it seems she’s trying to make him get used in certain situations incase he gets in a similar situation with Fuka. Oh the entire group enjoying youth right there must be nice to have a group like that on a trip. I’m really enjoying this the most this season and I really hope we will see more of this in the future and there’s still the fireworks date to look forward to.

What a nice setup for the finale. Hinami & Fumiya’s partnership has reached the crossroads. And Fumiya has finally realized that something’s not right with how Hinami do things. We’re finally seeing some “”creative differences”” between those two emerge.

正直言って、日南葵が本当の弱キャラだと思う。

Best episode so far, it’s criminal that Tomozaki Kun isn’t rated higher. The development we got today was amazing and few SoL/RomCom MCs have had this much in an entire season nonetheless one ep. Tomozaki realising that just because there’s silences and awkward moments during convos doesn’t mean things didn’t go well. Those are natural parts of interpersonal communication. Every single moment doesn’t need to be filled with talking. Him realising that he’s not even sure how he feels about Fuuka but has been going thru the motions because of this RPG esque strategy was cool too. Drama at the end, but we know they’re going to make up, and it’ll take everything Tomozaki has learnt about people to do so.

今までで一番のエピソードだった。友崎君がもっといい評価を受けていないのはおかしい。今日の話の展開は素晴らしかったし、日常系やラブコメ系アニメの主人公がアニメのシーズンを通してここまでのキャラ成長がみられるのは稀だと思うし、1話でそれがみられるなんてもっとすごい。 会話の合間に沈黙とか気まずい間があるからといって、それが上手くいかなかったとは限らないってことに友崎は気づいたね。 人とのコミュニケーションではそういうことは自然なことだから。すべての間を話で埋める必要はない。彼が、風香のことをどう思うかまだはっきりしない一方で、このRPG風の戦略によって色々な感情を経験しているのはいいね。 最後にドラマな展開があったけど、仲直りするはずだし、これまで友崎が習ってきたことすべてを駆使しないとそれができないことも分かってる。

I love the fact that Tomozaki came out of hiding. It always makes me uncomfortable when characters eavesdrop for long periods of time, especially when the people they’re listening to are opening up, like Mizusawa. It really contributes to him being a likeable character who just wants to do things the right way.

I saw this episode as the former student Tomozaki has way surpassed the teacher Hinami. I didn’t expect such a development but I like it, only a little more selfconfidence or self-awareness is missing, because at the end he said he’s still a bottom tier character when he is obviously not anymore. I would like to see a plot twist now where Tomozaki tries to teach Hinami what she is lacking to become a good, happy person, but who knows what will happen maybe she stays stubborn there are many things possible. this episode was definitely the best so far, it got me thinking and writing this and I never felt like doing so before even though I enjoyed the show. till last weak it was more lightweight on the mind and nice visuals.

Kikuchi best girl, after that colors speech. Seems like they tried hard to wrap it up in the final episode. Would love to learn more about Hinami’s backstory, though, if they ever do OVAs or a sequel season. The parmesan cheese and “”one more game”” was a great stinger at the end. Solid season, glad I watched. Amazed that anybody managed to pull ahead of Mimimi as best girl for me, but Kikuchi stole 1st at the last second. This show proves once again that fleshing out your characters with motivations and complexities makes nearly any premise compelling. Hope it gets all the attention it deserves for having such quality writing.

あの色についてのスピーチを聞いて、菊池は最高の女の子だと思った。 最終話で色々まとめるのに苦労したみたいだね。OVAとかシーズン化するなら日南の生い立ちについてもっと知りたいな。 最後のパルメザンチーズとゲームを対戦してて「もう一回」っていうのが裏話みたいな感じで良かった。 全体を通してしっかり作り込まれたアニメで見てよかった。みみみが一番のお気に入りだったけど、最後の数秒で菊池が1位の座を奪っていったね。 このアニメは、情熱をもってキャラクターを作り込めばどんな主張にも説得力を持たせることができるってことを証明したね。 こんなに素晴らしい脚本があるんだから、もっと注目を浴びてほしい。

I thought Tomozaki is going back to his old ways but there’s this one person he couldn’t refuse and that person is Fuuka Kikuchi. That date with Fuuka is so sweet and glad he was able to open up to her which is so genuine. Tomozaki may not be a top tier character but he’s a top tier chad for sure. Really hope this gets a season 2 despite being one of this season’s underdogs but it stood out well for me. Gotta pick up the LN soon.

I didn’t expect this show to be good but it proved me wrong, i love the character development i hope it gets another season because the ending felt super rushed.

こんなにいいアニメになるとは期待してなかったけど、間違ってたみたいだね。 キャラの成長も良かったし、エンディングが少し急ぎ足だったように感じたからシーズン2やってほしいな。

I can’t say I understand how “”knowing what you want”” makes you better at Smash but sure pop off Tomozaki. If anything that scene felt like manipulation… This show was a nice little surprise and I would love to see how it ends but I doubt we’ll get any more entries in it which is a bit sad.

何で「本当にやりたいことをみつける」ことでゲームの腕前も上がるのかは理解できないけど、 ちょっと冷静になれ友崎。むしろあのシーンはちょっと意図的に感じたな。 良いアニメだし、最後にどうなるのか見届けたいけど次回作はなさそうだからちょっと悲しいな。

I really hope this gets another season. Tomozaki really found a way to balance his relationship with hinami and discovering/exploring his true desires. She has quite a robotic outlook on life. However, she pushed tomo to be more social and invest more into himself. All of this is to a accomplish goal of a perfect person in the game life. Perfect social status, hygiene and more. It’s robotic because none of it ever involved tomo’s true feelings. This conflicted him so he decided to be himself. Now he’s finally mixing hinami’s techniques along with being himself to create a well-balanced character/person. Tomo has really matured and I’m proud of him. Hinami’s outlook on life disturbs me because I’ve met people like this before with only goals of winning imaginary competitions. Robotic and “logical” outlooks on life to gain success. None of this accounts for true feelings or desires.

ぜひとも次のシーズンを見たい。友崎は日南との関係を保ちながら、自分の本当にやりたいことを見つける、探求する方法を見つけたみたいだね。 彼女の人生観は結構機械的だけど、友崎のことをもっと社交的になるよう、自分への投資をするように後押しした。 彼女の行動は人生というゲームで完璧な人間としての目標を達成させるためだった。完璧な社会的なステータスとか、清潔さとかいろいろ。 機械的だって感じるのは、それらの目標が一つとして友崎の本当の気持ちを汲んだものではなかったから。 自分の中での矛盾に気づいた友崎は自分自身でいることを決心する。今彼はようやく日南のテクニックを本当の自分でいることに組み込んでバランスの取れたキャラクター、人間になろうとしてる。 友崎は本当に成長したし、すごく誇らしい。自分も、想像上の競争に勝つことしか考えてないような、日南の人生観に似た人と会ったことがあるから日南の人生観は受け入れがたい。 成功するために機械的で、論理的な人生観を持つ人たち。これらに本当の気持ちとか願望は一切ない。
