Everyone transforming into Pure Titans was too fucking heartbreaking. Nile realizing it’s over. Pixis accepting his fate with a last drink. And especially Colt staying with Falco to the very end just… man…

みんなが無垢の巨人に変身するのは胸糞すぎる。 終わりを悟ったナイル。最後の一杯で運命を受け入れたピクシス。そして特に最後までファルコと一緒にいたコルトは…もう……。

ガビのヘッドショットがド命中しすぎ

Anyone else think the episode was just ok? So many still frames, and that eh 3d zoom effect. Eren’s “”death”” had no tension because it was obvious he wasn’t dead. Zeke’s death also held no tension because if he knew he could die to a single shot he wouldn’t have just laid still. Or he would have had some monologue about how this is the end for him. Love the Falco, Colt, and Porco parts though. And Eren revealing that he wasn’t on Zeke’s side was good. I guess I just don’t feel very hyped for the series, whereas in part 1 I was very hyped.

このエピソードはまあまあだったと思う人はいます？静止画が多いし、あの3Dズーム効果も。エレンの「死」は、死んでいないことが明らかだったから、緊張感がなかった。ジークへの射撃も緊張感がなかったのは、一発で死ぬはずがないと思っていたから。もし、死ぬのであれば、モノローグか何かがあるはずだからね。ファルコ、コルト、ポルコのパートは好きだね。あとエレンがジークの味方じゃないことを明かにしたのも良かった。「進撃の巨人」ファイナルシーズン Part1はすごく期待していたけど、Part2はあまり期待してないという感じかな。

Problem with this episode they made Eren look like 10 year kid when he was running towards Zeke.

この回の問題点は、ジークに向かって走るエレンが10歳の子供みたいになってしまったこと。

Fantastic episode. My only question tho is why did Eren say wait to zeke when he was about to scream? Was it cause of falco? The military officers? Or something else. I really wonder what’s going on with Eren.

第78話「兄と弟」素晴らしい回だった。ただ一つ疑問なのは、なぜエレンはジークが叫ぼうとしているときに「待て」と言ったのかということ。それはファルコのせい？軍人のせい？それとも何か他の理由？エレンに何が起こっているのか、本当に不思議。

He probably still thinks his friend are locked up where they kept the people who drank the wine.

エレンはアルミンたちがまだ、ワインを飲んだ人たちと同じところに閉じ込められていると思っていたからだろ。

God I love this show. Doesn’t matter that the 3d maneuver gear animation was subpar at some points, this episode was a BANGER again holy shit. The whole part leading to Eren’s head blowing off and everything after is amazing.

「進撃の巨人」が大好きだ。立体機動装置のアニメーションが劣悪なところもあったけど、そんなことは関係なく、このエピソードはまたもや衝撃的でした。エレンの頭が吹っ飛ぶまでの部分と、その後の全てが素晴らしい。

What’s the spin with Zeke overcoming the vow to renounce war? it’s been a while since i watched AoT previous seasons. Isn’t it like this – founding titan (Eren) has the power to command titans/Ymir but only if he’s of royal blood (like Zeke) so how come Eren is the key and Zeke is the one in charge? shouldn’t it be the other way around where Zeke “”lets him in”” and then Eren as founding titan can command Ymir? because they are both alive, Zeke didn’t consume Eren. or is it implied that Zeke just sat there for years going hardcore meditation till he figured out how to command Ymir without being the founding titan?

ジークが不戦の契りを乗り越えたのはどういうことなのか、久しぶりに「進撃の巨人」の前のシーズンを見た。 始祖の巨人（エレン）は巨人・ユミルを指揮する力を持つが、それは王家の血を引く者（ジークなど）だけで、なぜエレンが鍵でジークが指揮できるのか？ ジークが「エレンの中に入れる」ことでエレンが始祖の巨人としてユミルを指揮できる、という逆ではないか。 二人はまだ生きていて、ジークはエレンを利用（使って）いない。 それともジークが何年も瞑想に励み、始祖の巨人でなくともユミルを奴隷にできる方法を見出したとでも言うのか？

No, it’s more like Ymir is a slave to the royal family and she will always obey the royal blood individual. That’s why the Founding Titan powers can’t be used if you don’t have royal blood or don’t come in contact with royal blood, it’s because Ymir doesn’t listen to people that don’t have royal blood. It was always like this, it’s just that the characters didn’t know, and they made wrong conclusions throughout the story (like thinking that the FT is the one with the power and the royal blood Titan is the key, when it’s actually the opposite).

いや、むしろユミルは王家の奴隷だから、王家の血筋の人間には必ず従うよ。だから王家の血が入ってなかったり、王家の血と接触しないと始祖の巨人の力が使えないのは、ユミルが王家の血が入ってない人間の言うことを聞かないからなんだよ。 もともとこうだったんだけど、ただエレンが知らなくて、間違った結論を出してしまっただけ。

I think it was the best ep mappa has put out. Wow

MAPPAが出した回の中で一番良かったと思うなぁ。

My favorite too. It’s really cinematic. A story with the adaptation it deserves.

We’re about to see next week what Zeke wants with Eren. As for Yelena, i mean she’s not a fighter, that’s why Armin, Jean, Mikasa are fighting instead

来週はジークがエレンに何を望んでいるのかが分かるところ。イェレナに関しては戦闘員じゃないからアルミン、ジャン、ミカサが代わりに戦ってるわけで。

Bro the scene where time freezes after eren gets shot and we get to see every characters face with the amazing camera movement was legendary, WELL DONE MAPPA.

ブロー！エレンが撃たれた後に時間が止まり、素晴らしいカメラの動きで全てのキャラクターの顔を見ることができるシーンは、レジェンド級だろ。

I’m split on hating Gabi and feeling sorry for her.

A well deserved 10/10 on imdb. I find this even more impressive when a significant portion of the fanbase are troll voting 1s on every episode after hating the ending.

IMDbでは10/10に値する。ファンの多くが最終回を嫌って、全話に1票を投じているのにこれだから、マジですごいことだと思う。

God Mappa really outdid themselves with this adaptation. The animation, the score, the tension, the time stop sequence, the path scene… everything is just perfect. Even as a manga reader who knows how everything will go down the episode made my jaw drop. Zeke’s screem and falcos transformation is heartbreaking, gabi blowing eren’s head is just as shocking as when I first read it…ahhhhhh this episode is so fucking amazing I can’t stop gushing about it

マッパは神か！この脚色で、本当に自分たちを出し抜いてくれた。アニメーション、音楽、緊張感、タイムスリップ、道のシーンなどなど、すべてが完璧です。マンガを読んでいて、どんな展開になるのか知っている私でも、あごが外れるようなエピソードだった。ジークの叫びとファルコの巨人化は胸に迫るものがあり、ガビがエレンの頭を吹っ飛ばすのは、最初に読んだときと同じくらい衝撃的だった…ああ、このエピソードは本当に素晴らしい。

It all started in Shiganshina, it almost ended there, then it gave birth to a new era(the basement), and now it will end there.

シガンシナから始まり、新しい時代（地下）が生まれ、そして今、そこで終わろうとしている。

威嚇的で不吉なシーズン1のOSTを使うところがまた良いよね。

So, the anime finally reached here. Brilliant adaptation and amazing payoff.

というわけで、アニメはついにここまでたどり着いた。見事な脚色が素晴らしいね。

After zeke holding eren’s head they show the scene when Zeke throw the ball to Eren and he didn’t catch it, when I saw it first I thought that they show us how Zeke is good at catching but when I rewatch it again I think that means Eren is not agreeing with zeke’s plan from the start

ジークがエレンの頭を抱えた後、ジークがエレンにボールを投げてキャッチしなかったシーンが映ったのですが、最初見たときはジークがいかにキャッチするのがうまいかを見せているのかと思ったけど、もう一度見返すと、エレンは最初からジークの計画に賛成していないということなのでしょう。

As much as Mappa had me scared, they handled this episode absolutely brilliantly. It was stunning visually, loved the freeze frames and the whole middle episode scene, loved that we finally get some new OST lol. Honestly, I feel bad for people that are missing out on this. It’s just phenomenal and it’s finally the tipping point where everything is gonna get crazier. So excited to see it on screen.

マッパが心配だった分、このエピソードは本当に見事なものだった。ビジュアルも素晴らしく、フリーズシーンや中盤のシーンはとても気に入ったな。そして、ついに新しいOSTを手に入れることができたw
正直なところ、「進撃の巨人」を見逃してる人たちに申し訳ない気持ちだよ。まさに驚異的で、いよいよすべてがクレイジーになる転換点だと思う。生でこれを見られるのがとても楽しみだ。
